From the combination of ambition, talent and raw energy is born something creative and truly unique. In an age when sex sells and musical quality is negotiable, it is the goal of this Oklahoma-based band to fill a certain void within the souls of listeners who have a desire to experience and to respond to good art.

Blending the sounds of such names as Maroon 5, Lenny Kravitz and Ben Folds, keithdanieltrio is one of Oklahoma City’s most sought-after groups of performing musicians. Some of OKC’s best live music venues continue to come alive at night with those who religiously attend show after show to see the band’s next innovative idea or musical concept.

Led by the band’s namesake, pianist and vocalist Keith Daniel constantly draws upon the digital piano’s vast array of sounds to tonally convey changes in mood. This keyboard wizardry is what sets the band’s sound apart from cliché, guitar-dominated ensembles. Enhanced by the technical grooves of bassist Sam Kratchmer, the driving backbeats of drummer Joe Rush, and the soulful riffs of guitarist Dimetrius Lavalais, the chemistry of member talent and influence coalesces to form the band’s undisputedly original sound.

Since August of 2005, the band’s popularity has increased exponentially. Having been featured on 98.9 FM’s The Jack and Ron show, on a television appearance for FOX 25’s The Locker Room, on an online podcast on upbeatradio.com and in a Q&A review with The Daily Oklahoman, keithdanieltrio is steadily working its way into all forms of media exposure. Additionally, fans who frequent the shows say they continue to return because “We never know what we’ll hear next.”

The band's debut independent album, Honorable Mention, was released in early 2007. It is the musical representation of a conglomerate of life experiences and struggles with self-identity and makes an attempt to relate a sense of emotional familiarity with its listeners. The tracks capture the pristine sound of the band while maintaining the energy of its live performances.
